Amapola Gallery's July Featured Artist exhibit is all about scapes, "Land and Body Scapes," to be exact. Tom Cassidy's watercolors and Pam Troutman's body art--aka jewelry--form a compelling combo.
Tom Cassidy, a new member of our co-operative of New Mexico artists, combines an artist's eye and an obvious love of New Mexico to produce moody portraits of the architecture and land of our beautiful state. His is an intimate style all his own.
Pam Troutman has a far-ranging eye for body adornment, from earrings to necklaces, lanyards to pins, and a great sense of fun. She bead weaves, she adorns dazzling pendants, creates gemstone necklaces, bead embroidery and even beads the occasional "painting" for the wall.
Join us July 1 from 4 to 7 for our artists' reception and meet this talented pair. The exhibit will run through July, at Amapola Gallery, 205 Romero, NW, on the Plaza in Old Town. The gallery is open daily from 10 to 5.
