Amapola Gallery’s Featured Artists for April

Overview

Amapola Gallery’s Featured Artists for April are Art Rosenberg and Elzbieta Kaleta, exhibiting works in a show titled Natural Dimensions.

Art Rosenberg incorporates small stones, wood, quills, shells and more, small natural items encountered on his daily walks around New Mexico and elsewhere.  Fastened to slabs of slate they form dreamlike small landscapes, both minimalist and meditative, tactile remembrances of his wandering.

Elzbieta Kaleta reflects her love of southwest landscape through both photographs and cut paper art.  Her light- and color-filled images showcase her focus on color, pattern and texture.  She has combined a unique eye for details of our New Mexico desert with her mastery of traditional Polish paper-cutting techniques.

Two approaches, one three dimensional and one two dimensional, combine to create a fascinating and rewarding art experience.  Meet the artists Friday, April 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Amapola Gallery, now in our 44th year in Old Town. The exhibit runs through April.
