Come Together – Right Now
Music of the Fab Four (yes, the Beatles) sung and taught by Beat-lele and Brook Adams.
A few years ago, one of the local ukulele clubs began to have theme night and one of those nights was the music of The Beatles. I watched so many people who had fun in the club come even more alive playing and singing Beatles songs.
I think I was in fourth grade when Beatlemania hit America. All the cute girls in class made paper broaches that read, “We Love the Beatles” and wore them over their hearts with safety pins. The teachers would have none of that nonsense and so the girls were ordered to remove the Beatles pins or go to the principal’s office. That is when I decided I needed to learn to play music.
The Ukekopelli Festival this year will be our best ever! The concert should be sold out with Brook Adams singing and playing the entire Abbey Road album. The Hawaiian band Beat-lele will headline the show, performing all the great Beatle songs from the days when the Beatles occupied the top five hits on the billboard charts every week.
Big news – Ticket prices are down!
Because of the anticipated sell out concert and festival, we must limit the number of concert tickets to 300 and the number of weekend passes to 100. We want everyone to have fun, be comfortable and enjoy the concert and workshops. When we limit the number of attendees, everyone can be comfortable. Get your tickets early!
Lunch will be catered by Kimo’s Hawaiian BBQ. It will be served in the lobby of the Arts Center. Workshop passes are available with or without a lunch option.
