8-Week T’ai Chi Chih® for Beginners Class (1.5 hour/class)

T’ai Chi Chih (Joy Thru Movement) is an easy-to-learn moving meditation series of 19 movements and 1 pose designed to balance and circulate the body’s natural energy or “chi.” In T’ai Chi Chih, we place your concentration in the soles of the feet as you flow forward and back or side-to-side. While no particular effect is guaranteed, the rhythmic and focused movements cultivate a feeling of being relaxed yet gently energized, like that of having taken an internal bath. In the Beginners’ class, you will learn the entire T’ai Chi Chih form as well as other meditative practices taught by Justin Stone, the originator of T’ai Chi Chih, designed to invite your knowing of yourself and to uncover the inherent joy within us all.
