32nd Annual Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival

The Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival has been a part of Albuquerque for 32 years. The Festival has been held in several places over the years and, this year, we are happy to announce we will be moving to Rotary Park in Bernalillo, NM. We will have all of our usual merchandise and food vendors as well as some new ones! As always, we will have our family friendly activities - Children’s Area, live music, Heavy Scottish Athletics, Clan Row, Celtic dance demonstrations, and, of course, bagpipes!

The Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival is proud to host many styles of Celtic dance. Scottish Highland Dancing is a celebration of the Scottish spirit. The dances are a spectacular combination of movement, music, and costume. They are generally danced solo, and in competition the music is typically a tune on the bagpipes. The dances are great fun and anyone, not just with a Scottish heritage, who thrills to the sound of the bagpipes, can join in and learn the dances. You can find our dancers on the Main Stage!

Join us in celebrating our Celtic heritage through our local musicians!

Bands TBD.

The Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival has many activities available for children of all ages. Please join us at our Children’s Area for fun crafts and activities

Our Merchandise Vendors come from many different parts of the country to bring their fantastic wares. We have many different things to offer, from clothing to jewelry to handmade art, knives, swords, leatherwork, and, of course, KILTS!!!
