Some songs are timeless. Some songs have been recorded & performed many times by many different artists from many different places in many different styles. Some songs inspire while remaining true to the original intention. Some songs are never forgotten and add to the great American treasure and legacy of the music we call the blues.
This year, Ladies Sing the Blues goes way back to some of the earliest blues recordings, and will present songs written by Robert Johnson, Willie Dixon and Muddy Waters. Concert goers will probably recognize all of them, because they are "True Blue Classics."
Joining vocalist and show curator, Joanie Cere, are Christine V., Zenobia, and Chessa Peak. Backing up the ladies for this special show are Darin Goldston (guitar), Kyle Beenhouwer (guitar), Rum Rodriguez (keys), Vicente Griego (harmonica), Maud Beenhouwer (bass), and Arnaldo Acosta (drums).
