ALBUQUERQUE - The Rail Yards Market (RYM) is once again partnering with the Downtown Growers Market (DGM) for the 2nd Annual Holiday Market on Sunday, Dec. 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Last year's Holiday Market attracted over 6,000 visitors. This year, the Holiday Market will host over 100 vendors and community groups both inside and outside the Blacksmith Shop at the Albuquerque Rail Yards.

The Holiday Market will host a wide variety of talented local artisans and growers, along with a lively blend of musical performances and activities for kids. "Our theme for the Holiday Market is ‘Giving,'" stated Alaska Prism, RYM Manager. "We are hosting a Food & Book Drive, Children's activities, music and more," said Prism.

This market will mark the second joint effort between the two markets, demonstrating that collaboration is essential in creating a vibrant community. "Both markets share similar core values, and a commitment to building a resilient, sustainable local economy that we all love to work and play in. Through food, art, and music, we have brought our community together in an atmosphere of fun, learning, and creativity. Our markets combining efforts makes sense on so many different levels," stated Robert Hoberg, DGM Market.

At this market, the emphasis will be on shopping local. Buying from local vendors enables you to be able to find a unique gift for everyone on your list and feel good about the fact that your money is staying in the community. The collaborative organizing team invites everyone to come down and support what they hope will be an "amazing celebration of local talent, community-building, and the spirit of giving."
