(Old Town Albuquerque NM) -- On March 15, David and Rebecca Red Feather will hold the Grand Opening for the Red Feather Diner and Trading Post in Old Town Albuquerque. Located in Don Luis Plaza, the Diner is the couple’s second business in Old Town; they opened Red Feather Gallery two years ago, which features a variety of arts, clothing and products for the mind, body and spirit, including massage therapy.

“We have found a wonderful community of artists and businesses in Old Town,” says David. “Times have been tough, but we are working together to help each other,” Indeed, David has become a leader in bringing the community together. In addition to chairing the Old Town Arts & Cultural Alliance to promote handmade and handcrafted arts, David is the incoming Chair of the Old Town Merchants Association.

Red Feather Diner offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu includes vegetarian, gluten free, Native American (elk and buffalo) and native New Mexican cuisine, along with traditional diner favorites like burgers, chicken wings, malts and milkshakes. For the opening, Red Feather will have special “Sweetheart Dinners” for two, including steak and shrimp, a New Mexican combination plate, and a gluten free Vegetarian pasta plate.

The Opening kicks off on Friday, March 15, from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, March 16 & Sunday, March 17 from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm. There will be entertainment each day with the Red Feather Native Dancers, traditional Native music and a variety of bands playing contemporary, country, jazz and oldies.

Red Feather is hosting their Grand Opening in conjunction with Ellouise Originals, another new Native owned gallery opening in Old Town. Red Feather is located at 303 Romero Street in the Don Luis Plaza of Old Town Albuquerque.
