Petroglyph National Monument and the City of Albuquerque Open Space Division are pleased to announce that Petroglyph National Monument will be fee free this weekend as part of the National Park Service Fee Free Day program. Visitors this weekend will not be required to pay parking fees at any of the Petroglyph National Monument trail heads.

Western National Parks Association (WNPA), has also announced that it will offer a 15% discount on store items to visitors this weekend to help celebrate MLK, Jr., Day and the fee free weekend. WNPA operates non-profit bookstores in 66 National Park Service units (including Petroglyph National
Monument) throughout the western United States and helps support park research and fund park programming.

In addition to this weekend, there will be four other fee free periods in the National Park Service: April 21-29 (National Park Week), June 9 (Get Outdoors Day), September 29 (National Public Lands Day), and November 10-12 (Veterans Day Weekend). Visitors will also be offered a 15% discount by WNPA on these days, so prospective visitors should begin their planning now!
