Laguna Development Corporation celebrates the grand opening of the newly renovated Dancing Eagle Casino on Thursday, December 10, 2009.

“Everything is great at Exit 108 - from top to bottom, every where you look you will see something new,” said Jeff Inman, Casino Manager. “The additions we made will make Dancing Eagle Casino the newest and most entertaining casino serving the Cibola County and Gallup markets. While the façade of the casino is all new, one thing that won’t change is our personality.”

In celebration of the grand opening, special food offers, prizes and free play to guests will continue throughout December. The “$100,000 Everybody’s a Winner Giveaway” gives guests a free pull on a giant slot machine once every day for guaranteed prizes, including free play, free gas, food discounts and logo items and a shot at the $100,000 grand prize. Grand opening entertainment December 10 is Orale and Native Roots performing in the new Café 108.

Dancing Eagle Casino first opened in 2000 at Exit 108 off I-40 west of Albuquerque. It is owned and operated by Laguna Development Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Pueblo of Laguna.

The renovated facility includes a new casino floor, players’ club and cashier, carpet, paint and tile. The project also features a new, open-air grill and lounge, exterior walkways, parking lot, marquee sign - even the staff uniforms are new. The reconfigured casino floor now features space for 100 new slots; and the casino floor now offers wider aisles and walkways.

Live entertainment now has a new home in Café 108, the open-air grill and lounge. “When we developed Café 108, we saw an opportunity to provide our guests with something that they could not find in the market; a high-quality, live entertainment venue,” Inman said. Local bands will perform on the new stage every Thursday through Sunday, 9 p.m.-1 a.m. The new lounge will include 10 tables and bar seating for 30; a large dance floor; and a state-of-the-art sound system. Café 108 will also feature a large projection screen to show a variety of sporting events.

Café 108 will feature more than 30 menu items, including nachos, cheese steak sandwiches and fry bread tacos. Hours are 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday-Wednesday; and 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Thursday-Saturday.
