American Idol Comes to Albuquerque

The national search for superstars will be making a stop in historic Old Town to host auditions
Albuquerque- Singers in the southwest will have an opportunity to get one of those "golden tickets" sending them through the vocal obstacle course to become the nation's next American Idol.

The national singing competition and hit television show, which airs on FOX, has become one of the most watched and most successful shows in American history. They have sent their tour bus on the road, scouring the country for their next singing sensation. Historic Old Town Albuquerque will play host to the tour bus on Tuesday, July 15th starting around 9 a.m. and continuing until 5 p.m.; the audition line is expected to fill much of the plaza.

Contestants will be welcomed to Old Town Plaza with the sounds of mariachis and the iconic visuals of Native American dancers.
