ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - (June 28, 2017) - Visit Albuquerque is reporting 2017 as the strongest citywide convention/meeting year Albuquerque has seen in the past seven years.

"Visit Albuquerque continues to increase the recognition of Albuquerque within the meetings, conventions and sports industries," said Tania Armenta, President & CEO of Visit Albuquerque. "As a result of these efforts-combined with our local partners involvement and investments-the destination is currently in the midst of the strongest citywide convention year we have experienced within the last seven years."

While Albuquerque hosted several noteworthy meetings and conventions during the first half of the year, including the Association of Zoos and Aquariums 2017 Mid-Year Conference in March, this statement is recently evidenced by strong back-to-back conventions taking place during the month of June, as well as upcoming conventions for July and August that will have a significant impact on Albuquerque's economy.
