ALBUQUERQUE, NM – In celebration of International Women’s Day (March 8th) and Women’s History Month, the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC), Creative Albuquerque, and more than 25 community partners present Women & Creativity, a month of diverse programming celebrating creativity and entrepreneurship in all forms. Women & Creativity 2011 features the work of more than 125 creative women and invites participation in more than 85 events at venues throughout Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
The NHCC, in collaboration with local partnering businesses and arts organizations, will organize and host the 6th annual Women & Creativity Celebration. The month features hands-on art workshops, dance classes, performances, exhibit openings, poetry readings, lectures, and panel discussions on topics such as social action, art and feminism, and “art in our lives.” This celebration encourages participants to explore their own creativity and honor and celebrate the creativity of others.
