ALBUQUERQUE, NM – As cool fall weather sets in, the events at EXPO New Mexico just keep getting hotter and hotter. In addition to the weekly Flea Market, EXPO will host four unique and diverse family events this weekend in the heart of Albuquerque.
“Once again this weekend, there are more diverse, family friendly events happening on the State Fairgrounds than at any other single location in New Mexico,” said EXPO General Manager Craig Swagerty. “A lot of people still think we’re just about the State Fair but there are literally hundreds of other events taking place on the grounds throughout the year.”
The New Mexico Watercolor Society Fall Exhibit is open every Thursday through Sunday through October 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Fine Arts Gallery. The exhibition is free to the public. For more information, please visit http://nmwatercolorsociety.org/
The Enchanted Cat Club’s Howl-O-Ween Cat Show will take place Friday from 3 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $4 adults, $3 seniors and $2 children. Visit www.enchantedcatclub.com for more information
The Albuquerque Home & Lifestyle Show takes place in the Manuel Lujan Complex on Saturday, October 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, October 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 adults, $7 seniors and children age 8 and up. Now in its 17th year, Home & Lifestyle Expo is the largest, most exciting and comprehensive event of its kind in New Mexico, attracting qualified attendees (15,000-20,000) who are interested in and are well-positioned to improve their overall lifestyles. The show offers a unique opportunity for face-to-face, personal interaction between quality exhibitors and targeted attendees. Attendees and exhibitors alike have come to appreciate the value of nationally and internationally recognized celebrity speakers to enhance the overall experience. After having standing room only for the February 2009 Show, Joey Green, “America's Mad Scientist of Home Improvement” will be back for the fall expo. The guru of weird uses for brand-name products, Green will once again fill the whole room with laughter as he shows unusual yet practical ways to save money. It’s true Las Vegas style comedy and showmanship.
