Released just in time for National Plan for Vacation Day,
the guide is a must-have resource for visitors and locals alike

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – (Jan. 30, 2018) Visit Albuquerque has released the 2018 Official Albuquerque Visitors Guide, just in time for National #PlanForVacation Day, an initiative powered by the U.S. Travel Association and Project: Time Off. Within its 80 colorful pages, the guide showcases the wide variety of all there is for visitors and locals to see and do throughout the city.

“We are pleased to release our 2018 Visitors Guide, which is the go-to resource for those looking to visit Albuquerque,” said Tania Armenta, President & CEO of Visit Albuquerque. “This guide is packed with one-of-a-kind experiences, events and photos of the Albuquerque area and offers travelers—and locals—a change of perspective.”

The eye-catching cover depicts a couple overlooking the city from the top of the Sandia Mountains, illustrating Albuquerque’s vibrancy but also its natural beauty. The fact that Albuquerque was named one of the best places to travel in 2018 by Travel + Leisure is also prominently featured.

Highlights this year include a spread focused on Albuquerque’s ongoing evolution, with particular attention paid to what’s new in the city, including the anticipated completion of downtown projects such as the updated Civic Plaza and the entertainment district One Central, hotel developments including the addition of Hotel Chaco and the renovation and expansion of Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm, and new attractions, such as the unveiling of otter and penguin exhibits at the ABQ BioPark. The guide also features top things to do, a uniquely-Albuquerque shopping list, information on and tips for attending the city’s myriad of signature events, and “Authentic Albuquerque” experiences—from art and culture to cuisine and the outdoors. Readers will also find pages dedicated to the city’s distinct neighborhoods and entertainment districts, as well as comprehensive business listings and city information.

The guide’s release is perfectly timed with the U.S. Travel Association and Project: Time Off’s National Plan for Vacation Day initiative, which encourages Americans to take back the calendar and #PlanForVacation on Jan. 30.
