PRINCETON JUNCTION, NJ – September 10, 2012 – To showcase the importance of event and convention services to the meetings industry, the services professionals at Visit Albuquerque will support the Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA)’s third Annual National Celebrate Services Day on September 20, 2012.

The Visit Albuquerque will host convention and event services specialists from partner hotels, the SMG-managed Albuquerque Convention Center, and the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce on a private ABQ Trolley Co. tour. Participants have the option to continue their education with a complimentary webinar, CMP: The Road to Certification. Speakers are Christina Buck, CMP, with the Convention Industry Council, and Cary Bradley, CMP, with Hilton Worldwide.

ESPA members across the country are hosting a networking event with other event managers (EMs) and convention services managers (CSMs) in their city, all on September 20. By participating in this initiative, the Visit Albuquerque event and convention services professionals will help stimulate camaraderie among services professionals, obtain new members for the association and ultimately help spread the word about the important role of event and convention services. The association will award the host with the most creative or unique event with a complimentary 2013 Annual Conference registration.
