ALBUQUERQUE, NM (December 12, 2012) – It’s all about 12 today. The Visit Albuquerque (Visit Albuquerque) is taking this opportunity to recognize 12 things that make Albuquerque special during the holiday season in our seasonal greeting to clients and partners.

For the next 12 days, the Visit Albuquerque will highlight 12 reasons that we love the holiday season in Albuquerque – including our unique traditions from luminarias to River of Lights to biscochitos. The Visit Albuquerque markets to visitors and clients outside of Albuquerque and the holiday season offers a special opportunity to share traditions that are different from other parts of the country.

We have created a whimsical set of graphics to showcase 12 activities, recipes and events. Your web visitors and customers might enjoy seeing the collection of holiday favorites, which is available at www.ItsATrip.org/HolidayFavorites2012.

Visit Albuquerque will be highlighting one reason to love the holiday season each day through the organization's Facebook (www.Facebook.com/VisitABQ) and Twitter (www.Twitter.com/VisitABQ) pages, and we have created a special Pinterest board highlighting the promotion and other holiday traditions at www.pinterest.com/VisitABQ/abqholiday. We will be using hashtag #ABQHoliday.

The Visit Albuquerque has also created a comprehensive calendar of local holiday events including arts markets, Nutcracker performances, luminaria bike tours, pueblo feast days and more at www.ItsATrip.org/holidays2012. This page also offers great hotel packages, which would work well for family members visiting from out of town. That way everyone can wake up in peace before the holiday craziness begins!

Happy holidays 2012!
