ALBUQUERQUE, NM—The 2012 Albuquerque Comic Con will take place this month at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Albuquerque, bringing together hundreds of fans, celebrities, and legends of the comic world.
The 2012 Albuquerque Comic Con will celebrate 70 years of Wonder Woman and 70 years of women in comics and film, with special guest celebrities like Peter and Christie Marston, son and granddaughter of William Marston who created Wonder Woman. Other guest celebrities to attend are Brent Spiner from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Independence Day; hit series stars Kristin Bauer and Sam Trammell of HBO’s True Blood and Madison Lintz of AMC’s The Walking Dead; as well as numerous other comic and film celebrities like Amanda Conner, Jenny Frison, Cary Tagawa, Dean Stockwell, Gil Birmingham, Billy Tucci, Lou Ferigno and many more.
The Albuquerque Comic Con will take place January 13-15, 2012 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Albuquerque. There will be a special theme for each day, with events, contests/tournaments, and special guests revolving around each theme. Friday is “Anime Day” featuring a fan costume contest and open floor dance at night. Saturday is “Super Hero/Super Villain Day” with gaming tournaments, celebrity headliners, as well as a “Super Hero/Super Villain” costume contest. Sunday is the celebrity day. Each of the special guests will be in the convention hall for panels and photo opportunities. There will also be a light saber instruction class on Sunday.
