Albuquerque, N.M. – The Visit Albuquerque (Visit Albuquerque) announces the hiring of Robert (Rob) Enriquez as our new Vice President of Convention Sales, Services & Sports.
Enriquez oversees Convention Sales, Services and Sports Division, which is responsible for generating qualified meeting, convention and sporting event leads to be distributed to Albuquerque’s hotels, the Albuquerque Convention Center and area event and sports facilities.
“Rob’s strong background in both sales and marketing makes him a great fit for our team. With over 25 years of industry experience Rob brings new ideas and perspective on the destination, which will be beneficial as we continue to strive for innovative ways to market Albuquerque to meeting and event professionals across the country,” said Dale Lockett, President/CEO of the Visit Albuquerque.
Enriquez joins the Visit Albuquerque team most recently from the Palm Springs Desert Resorts Convention & Visitors Authority in Palm Springs, California, where he was the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Prior to five years in Palm Springs, he was the Executive Director of Convention Sales & Services at the Reno Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority in Reno, Nevada for nearly five years. Previous experience includes director of sales, national sales manager and senior sales manager positions with the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Loews and Wyndham hotels. Enriquez also has advertising agency experience in the Dallas, Texas area.
