ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The 10th-annual Gildan New Mexico Bowl will kickoff on the FBS Bowl season opening day, Saturday, Dec. 19 at Noon MT/2 p.m. ET, announced the Gildan New Mexico Bowl. The game will be played at University Stadium in Albuquerque, and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN and ESPN Radio.

"We are very happy to be able to continue what is now a decade-long tradition of playing the Gildan New Mexico Bowl on the first Saturday afternoon and showcasing the beauty of our State and City to the national television audience," said Jeff Siembieda, Gildan New Mexico Bowl executive director. "Our 10th-annual game is something special for our community and we are looking forward to a great celebration on December 19th."

The Gildan New Mexico Bowl has ignited the collegiate bowl postseason before, playing on the first day since 2008. As the first game on tap from 2010-2013, it provided multiple storybook endings. Last year, the Gildan New Mexico Bowl was the second game on the schedule but still churned out an improbable tale as Utah State garnered a 21-6 win against UTEP, at times with its fifth-string quarterback leading the offense.

The 2015 Gildan New Mexico Bowl is scheduled to feature teams from the Mountain West Conference and Conference USA. The leagues were pitted against each other in last year's game, as well as the 2010 Gildan New Mexico Bowl when the MW's BYU Cougars cruised to a 52-24 victory over the UTEP Miners. The Mountain West has won two consecutive bowl games in Albuquerque.

Tickets for the Gildan New Mexico Bowl range from $25-$40 and are available at the UNM ticket office and at www.gildannewmexicobowl.com.

The Gildan New Mexico Bowl is one of 13 games owned and operated by ESPN Events, a subsidiary of ESPN.
