The second annual Savor Albuquerque festival starts 10 days of festivities this evening with the Savor Soirée downtown, which includes:
Historic KiMo Theatre Sign Dedication with Mayor Richard Berry - 7:30pm - Mayor Richard Berry invites you to a special gala evening to dedicate the re-lighting of the KiMo's historic neon sign. Free.
KiMo Theatre Metropolis Special Screening - 8:00pm
Creative Albuquerque Savor Soirée - 5:00 - 8:00pm - 115 4th Street NW, 87102 - Live entertainment, light refreshments and the closing reception for Uncommon Threads, a show by UNM Master of Fine Arts candidates. Free.
Route 66 Food Truck Roundup - 5:00 - 8:00pm. - Pedestrian Mall at 4th Street and Central (115 4th Street NW, 87102) - Fabulous food by some of Albuquerque's finest mobile food cart vendors. It's like a flash-mob for your taste buds. Free to attend; food prices vary based on vendor.
First Friday Citywide ArtsCrawl - 5:00 - 9:00pm - There is something for everyone, from the casual gallery visitor to the serious collector, in Albuquerque's dynamic and diverse visual art scene; First Friday Artscrawl, a citywide gallery tour, offers exhibit openings, receptions, demonstrations and special events.
