Albuquerque, NM:  PB&J Family Services continues their tradition of generosity by providing two Thanksgiving meals to PB&J families, staff, civic and community supporters, as well as any families in the community that may not have the ability to provide their own Thanksgiving meal.   Celebrating 45 years of dedication to child abuse prevention and family preservation, PB&J seeks to celebrate peace and unity with their PB&J families and with the community members whose support makes possible their outcomes of child abuse prevention, family preservation, and children's success in school and in life. There will be two luncheons. One will held on Tuesday, November 21, 11:30am-1:30pm at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Albuquerque and the other on Wednesday, November 22, 11:30am-1:30pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Each community event is expected to serve hundreds of people a warm, wholesome meal prepared by PB&J staff. Individuals, local businesses, and corporations have donated the food to make this event possible.

"This year more than ever we welcome this opportunity to come together in PEACE, UNITY, and OPTIMISM for the well-being of our children and for all in our community. We deeply value the lessons we learn every year from our PB&J families and from our partners in service to our community. Our annual Thanksgiving luncheons are our time to acknowledge with heartfelt gratitude the dignity and worth of all."

PB&J Family Services began in 1972 as a small volunteer effort to provide support to mothers struggling with mental illness. Today, PB&J is nationally recognized for its comprehensive and unique approach towards preventing child abuse, preserving families, and helping them transcend multigenerational cycles of poverty and incarceration.  Through community support, PB&J has expanded to serve over 1,800 parents and children annually.
