The Aquarium’s Shark Exhibit has some new residents!  Two Pacific zebra sharks were moved to the shark tank last week to acclimate to their new digs and are now on exhibit.  “The zebra sharks look quite different from our other sharks, which are Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico species. We’d like invite everyone to come check them out,” said Aquarium Manager Holly Casman.

Zebra sharks (Stegostoma fasciatum) are found in the central, western and Indian Pacific oceans and live mainly over continental and insular shelves and are very common around coral reefs and sandy bottoms. They are also abundant in Australian coastal waters.
