Albuquerque, August 5, 2010 – Celebrating its ninth season as downtown Albuquerque’s own professional theatre company FUSION is extremely proud to bring a taste of Broadway to The Cell stage with four incredible premieres.
FUSION Theatre Company’s continued dedication to powerful, provocative, and professional theatre soars this season as we ignite passions, intellects, and even funny bones with a collection of award winning plays right off the Great White Way. The season opens with a bang on September 9th with the Albuquerque premiere of the lauded Pulitzer and Tony Award winning turbo charged tragicomedy August: Osage County by Tracy Letts, Later in the Fall, the tender portrait of a couple, Winnie and Willie, comes to life in Happy Days by the Nobel Prize winning Samuel Beckett. We ring in the New Year with the Southwest premiere of Enda Walsh’s tragicomedy The New Electric Ballroom. In the spring, hot off Broadway, we present the comedy thriller Alfred Hitchcock’s The Thirty-nine Steps. The Seven, FUSION’s nationally noted short play festival caps off a truly exceptional season.
