ALBUQUERQUE, NM--Take the opportunity this summer to learn about nocturnal animals and blooms that open at dusk during a guided evening tour at the BioPark. Docents lead groups through the Zoo, Botanic Garden or Tingley Beach afterhours to experience the sights and sounds that welcome the night. Tours meet on Tuesdays from June to August.

"There is nothing quite like having a guided evening tour of your favorite BioPark exhibits," said Kathryn Venzor, BioPark Education Curator. "From the active animal behavior in the cool evening air to the amazing night-blooming plants and nocturnal pollinators - the BioPark really does live an entirely different life at night.

Twilight Tours at the Zoo. Observe interesting animal behaviors on an adventure through the Zoo. Lions roar and nocturnal creatures come out as evening temperatures cool. Tours meet on June 11 and July 9 from 7 - 9 p.m. and on July 30 and August 6 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for children (3-12) and seniors (65+).

Night Walks at the Botanic Garden.
Explore the gardens under the moonlight. Docents help find night-blooming plants and late-working pollinators. Tours meet on June 25 and July 23 from 7:30 - 9 p.m. and on August 27 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $6 for children (3-12) and seniors (65+).

Bosque Moonlight Hikes at Tingley Beach. Bring a flashlight and keen senses for a hike through the Rio Grande Bosque. Listen for owls, watch for bats and search for signs of porcupines and other nocturnal animals. Tours meet on June 18 and July 16 from 7:30 - 9 p.m. and on August 20 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children (3-12) and seniors (65+).
