Albuquerque has been honored to host the Rotary International Zone Institute for the area district this year taking place September 14th through 19th at the Embassy Suites. The Zone Institute educates Rotary Governors - district, past, elects, plus shares information about what’s new in Rotary. 12 states and 22 districts will be in involved and approximately 400 attendees are expected. RI Director 2010-12 Noel Bajat and Sis wants to extend to Rotarians a hearty invitation to attend the Zone 21b-27 Rotary Institute. The theme for the Albuquerque Institute is "Follow the Rotary Winds to Albuquerque" and it promises to be an enriching, rewarding, and informative Institute.
President Elect Kalyan Banergee will be attending and will be involved with a local Rotary project at the Road Runner Food Bank on Saturday September 18th from 2:00-3:00 pm. The Youth Exchange from our area will be helping as well as local and out of town Rotarians.
Albuquerque boasts 6 Rotary clubs plus two in Rio Rancho. There are approximately 600 Rotarians in our area.
Mayor Richard J. Berry will be welcoming everyone on Friday the 17th.
