Isotopes Park will be the host site for the 2011 Triple-A Baseball National Championship game, Isotopes officials announced Tuesday. The game will pit the winner of the Pacific Coast League playoffs against the winner of the International League’s Governors’ Cup.

The game will take place Sept. 20, and will be nationally-televised on Versus. Officials said the event will be a day-long affair, with a pre-game autograph session with Dodgers “legends,” giveaways from sponsor Sandia Resort & Casino, and a post-game fireworks show.

“The National Championship is yet another way we can showcase to the entire country our great facility as well as the great baseball fans we have in Albuquerque and throughout the state of New Mexico,” Albuquerque Isotopes team President Ken Young said.

The contest game is also expected to be re-aired the following day on the Major League Baseball Network. It will be broadcast live on radio stations in AAA markets throughout the U.S., officials said.

Tickets for the event go on sale simultaneously with Isotopes’ regular season tickets on March 12 at 10 a.m. More information is online, or by calling (505) 924-2255.
