Albuquerque, NM (December 20, 2011) -The Albuquerque Kings wheelchair basketball team are currently ranked number five in the field of 20 in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association Championship Division December rankings that were published over the weekend. A big jump for the Kings after they were ranked number 15 in the November rankings. The movement in rankings also comes after dominant performance in the tournament they just participated at the end of November in Rockford, Ill.

The Albuquerque Kings is a sponsor based group that practices at different locations around the Albuquerque metro area. The mission of the Albuquerque Kings is to promote wheelchair basketball in a fun and competitive environment. The Kings are new to competition in the NWBA (National Wheelchair Basketball Association), but have been around for many years as a local team promoting physical exercise and an environment where physically disabled individuals can get together.
