The 1st Annual LMGA Awards Show celebrates the accomplishments in location scouting/managing and the work of film commissions internationally. According to the organizers, this award is "given to the film commission that rises above and beyond the call of duty." The Albuquerque Film Office was nominated due to its contribution to the TV production "Breaking Bad" and the feature film "Lone Survivor."
"We are proud of our hard working team at the Albuquerque Film Office and this nomination is a direct reflection of their tireless efforts to ensure local projects receive the support required for a smooth and seamless production," stated Mayor Richard J. Berry. "Albuquerque has garnered significant attention world-wide as a great place for filmmaking, which is a testament to the professional services provided by our city film office."
The LMGA is recognizing accomplishments in six categories. Of those six categories, there were three Albuquerque-based productions that were nominated. In addition to the Outstanding Film Commission" category, the other two nominees with Albuquerque connections were:

• Breaking Bad Final Season (Sony)
"We are thrilled that the LMGA recognizes the work done by the Film Office and the outstanding locations crew that call Albuquerque home," stated Ann Lerner, Film Liaison.
The LMGA is a professional organization of Location Managers, Location Scouts, Assistant Location Managers, and affiliated business members, such as film commissions, location services, vendors, and filming venues.
