FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, Albuquerque, NM, April 19, 2016-The New Mexico Wine & Grape Growers Association presents the 15th Annual Albuquerque Wine Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 28 - 30 at Balloon Fiesta Park. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. each day.

The event brings together 21 of New Mexico's finest wineries offering samples of their most popular wines for guests to taste and discover new and exciting options to take home. A wide variety of tempting food items will also be available for purchase, including artisanal cheeses, biscochitos, ice cream, kettle corn, baked goods and offerings from several popular area food trucks.

Live music performed by some of Albuquerque's most popular bands will keep attendees in the mood for fun. Baracutanga, Nosotros, Sim Balkey, Chris Dracup/Funk of the West, Le Chat Lunatique and Felix y Los Gatos will keep energy up with a variety that ranges from Latin Big Band to Country Funk.

The arts and crafts segment of the event is highly popular as visitors have the opportunity to discover a wide range of creative products for home or gifting. Budding artists will love the FREE painting classes taught by local artist Kelly Jo. Attendees can sign up for any one of 14 classes of approximately 45 minutes in length and create their own ‘masterpiece'-a special memento of their visit to this year's event. Space is limited, so sign up early!

Attendees wishing to participate in wine tastings must have a photo ID.

Tasting Tickets for the event are $20, and Designated Driver tickets are $5. Purchase online and avoid the lines at the event. Monday, May 30 has been designated Military Monday with a $3 discount offered to members of the military.
