Summer Thursday Jazz Nights: Tim Zannes + “Tubby” Cloud & The Kinfolk

Tenorman Tim Zannes is the son of an aeronautical engineer/ missile designer father and a Jazz disc jockey/actress /professor mother. He began studies on the clarinet in 2nd grade while attending public school in California. He has shared the stage with Richard Wyands, John Webber and Leroy Williams at the Blue Note, NYC and has three recordings as a leader. Accompanying Zannes tonight is Art Edwards, piano; Trevor M. Davis, bass; and Arnaldo Acosta, drums.
"Tubby" Cloud and The Kinfolk which features Albuquerque bassist Howard Cloud, along with The Kinfolk- Robert Muller, keys; Paul Palmer, drums; Sam Earick, sax, and vocal powerhouse Andrew Cooper- perform a mixture of R&B, Jazz, and Funk. As a performing artist, Cloud has worked with musical giants such as The Peg Leg Bates Variety Show and Norman Connors and the Starship Orchestra. More recently, he has accompanied internationally known poet-musician Joy Harjo, as well as Frank Leto and PANdemonium, Larry Mitchell, Busy McCarroll, John Rangel, and Cathy McGill.
