Demonstration: Pueblo Weaving-A Way of Life with Aric Chopito

As one of only a handful of traditional weavers continuing the practice in Zuni Pueblo today, Aric Chopito has a passion for mastering techniques and ensuring that knowledge is passed on to future generations. Aric has studied at the Institute of American Indian Art and the School for Advanced Research in Santa Fe, and has served as a weaving instructor at the A:shiwi A:wan Museum and Heritage Center in Zuni Pueblo. Join him for a demonstration of different types of Pueblo weaving, then enjoy 20% off all woven goods at Shumakolowa Native Arts, including rugs, basketry, and apparel.
