Class: Lavender Distillation

During our lavender harvest season, join us to learn about capturing lavender essential oil through steam distillation. After an in-depth class on lavender distillation and Q&A with our farmers, attendees will receive a special lavender gift to take home.

The essence of lavender is extracted using steam to liberate the oils. The essential oil rises to the top where it is drawn off. The distillate water, also known as hydrosol flows from the bottom of the separator where only the water has dropped. Our lavender fields are managed using sustainable, non-pesticide, non-herbicide agricultural and organic practices.
