Children's Workshop: Journey Around the World!

Explore the cultures of Sweden, Scotland, Italy and Greece through sight, sound, taste and play. Investigate early toys of each country from game pieces to pull toys and gain inspiration for making your own. Construct a new toy each day by using clay, paper, wood, acrylic and ink. Instructor: Kimberly Humphries holds a B.F.A. in ceramics from Tyler School of Art. She is committed to sharing art with children to expand their self-expression, confidence and individuality. She is currently an assistant and teacher at Albuquerque Museum and is also working with students at Dolores Gonzales Elementary to create a large clay mural at the school. She also enjoys playing the piano, hiking and family time. *Museum members receive a 10 percent discount. Registration is limited to one class per child.
