Art in the Afternoon: Tularosa Basin Musicians Union

Enjoy live music, food and drink specials at Slate at the Museum and great shopping at Art in the Afternoon! The Tularosa Basin Musicians Union (TBMU) materialized when several musicians lives crossed paths in Tularosa, New Mexico not so long ago. The goal was, and still is, to play music and have fun. The Tularosa Basin Musicians Union (a "union" of individuals, not a labor "union" as some might suppose) plays a unique style of New Mexicana Roots, folk and acoustic blues music drawing on stark, odd, and beautiful inspirations from the Tularosa Basin, and other high desert locals in New Mexico. The TBMU New Mexicana style is often described as a contemporary acoustic roots/folk style steeped in the sun-baked blues of the southern New Mexico deserts.
