Albuquerque Film & Music Experience Workshop: The Comedy & Tragedy of Film Accounting

Eliot Stenzel is a production accountant/CPA working in New Mexico. He has helped independent film makers and producers navigate the business side of show business. And as Eliot says, it is all business. We will discuss the importance of the accounting function, setup, how it interfaces with producers, directors, crew, and payroll companies. We will also discuss the form of business for the production company, and the mothers milk of New Mexico production - the incentive and how it drives the setup and operation of business and accounting functions.

You will leave this discussion with a greater sense of what takes place behind the camera and how what you see on the screen is supported by a foundation of sufficient lead time, good business processes, and great accounting practices. This will not be boring!
