20th Annual Placitas Studio Tour

The 20th Annual Placitas Studio Tour, features Placitas artists who are opening their studios for a fascinating and fun behind-the-scenes peek at their artwork. The Studio Tour attracts locals and potential collectors to the local artists and brings the community of artists together in order to create the event itself. This is a great opportunity to explore Placitas and see the many unique artist studios scattered throughout the scenic foothills of Placitas. You can meet and talk with the artists about their work and discover the fascinating and varied working environments in Placitas where they create their art.

Fifty-nine Placitas artists will be displaying their art at forty-nine studios, offering a wide array of fine arts and crafts and fine art like paintings, wearable art, photography, ceramics, batik, woodworking, glass art, jewelry, mosaics, sculpture, metalwork, and mixed media (including found and up-cycled objects) and more. Wear your comfortable walking shoes as the terrain can change from the many diverse studios.

Brochures will be available at all studios. Placitas, New Mexico is located in the Sandia Mountains off I-25 between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Directions from I-25 are to take Exit #242 and turn east on Highway 165 towards Placitas.

Colorful signs will direct you to the studios of your choice. For more information, visit the tour website at www.PlacitasStudioTour.com to download the map and preview the artists so you can plan your free,
