The Hottest Show on Earth kicks off March 2nd at Sandia Resort and Casino. Hundreds of vendors will be at the 30th Annual National Fiery Foods and Barbecue Show offering their best spicy gourmet foods, sauces, spices, sweet-heat treats and rubs at the to the fire-loving masses throughout the weekend. 

Fiery Foods Show exhibitors come from all over the world to sell their products to trade buyers and retail customers who jump at the chance to sample and buy products not typically available at national retail outlets.

The guest chefs at this year’s Show include Rick Browne, former host of “Barbecue America” on PBS; and Ray Lampe, aka Dr. BBQ. Rob Pianka, supplier of the internationally-coveted Kampot Pepper from Cambodia, will make his first appearance at the Show.

The popular 505 Food Fights are returning: pitting New Mexico’s best chefs against each other to benefit New Mexico Kids Matter. The chefs competing at the Fiery Foods edition of the 505 Food Fights are:

  • Nathan Mayes of Paloma
  • Mike White of The Point Grill
  • Sean Staggs of Bien Shur
  • Daniel John of Torinos' at Home Italian Trattoria
  • Tristin Rogers of The Crown Room at the ABQ Downs Racetrack and Casino
  • Daniel Garcia of Campo at Los Poblanos.

For those who want to beat the heat, this year’s Show Cool Down Booth features gelato from Frost Gelato. And for those looking to enhance their spicy food experience with craft beers, tastings will be sponsored by Bud Light.

The Show runs all weekend at Sandia Resort and Casino from March 2-4. Hours are:

Tickets for the Fiery Foods Show are $15 for adults and $5 for youth 18 and younger. 505 Food Fights tickets are $10. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, at the Sandia Box Office or at the Show entrance.
