2019 New Mexico State Fair

Ranked by SmartAsset.com as one of the top 10 state fairs in the nation, the New Mexico State Fair includes a PRCA rodeo and performances by nationally-known country recording stars, plus Indian and Spanish villages, all in the heart of Albuquerque. Visitors can explore art, agriculture, animals, entertainment, food, carnival rides, exhibits and shopping at one of the largest state fairs in the country.

¡Cine Magnífico!-Albuquerque Latino Film Festival

¡Cine Magnífico! celebrates Spanish and Latin American culture through presentation of some of the best of modern cinema in a weekend-long program, featuring work by first-time filmmakers and established masters alike. The subject matter runs the gamut from comedies, action, romances and documentary films, to dramatic masterpieces. Some of the riskiest and most innovative films of recent years will be included.  ¡Cine Magnífico! is organized by Instituto Cervantes, the National Hispanic Cultural Center and UNM Latin American & Iberian Institute so as to be at the forefront of the movement to increase cultural opportunities for the entire New Mexico community and to bring Latinos and non-Latinos together to share common experiences through film. 

U-Pick Green Chile

Big Jim Farms has opened up the 9 acre farm in Los Ranchos every weekend during September & October for organically grown Green & Red Chile U-Pick and onsite chile roasting. All chile will be grown chemical free and traditional variety seeds ranging from very mild to extra hot. Best flavor guarantee! Price per LB, Bushel & Sack. Other U-Pick items available depending on season and availability such as pumpkins, tomatoes and melons. There will also be a farm market with already picked fruits & veggies available for sale. Harvest Available will be posted weekly in event. 

Animals Day at the Rail Yards Market

Hop, waddle, walk, and fly on over to the Rail Yards Market for Animals Day! Bring your furry friend along for Sunday fun 10a-2p. We are always pet friendly for friendly pets!  ::PET COSTUME CONTEST:: Join us at 11am at the Info Booth for a howling good time for a pet costume contest presented by Tailwaggin Temptations Gourmet Dog Treats! You can enter your pet in THREE of the contest: 1.) Best costume, 2.) most exotic, and 3.) best dynamic duo (animal and human costume coordination)! Ruff-riffic prizes to be announced! All the costumed pets will parade down to the stage where we'll announce the winners and awards!  ::Kids Zone::  NMSU Bernalillo County 4-H The 4-H youth development program is a dynamic non-formal education program. 4-H provides opportunities to learn life skills, gain knowledge while having fun, and make contributions in such areas as environmental education, community service, and current youth issues. The 4-H program will be introducing the varieties of projects related to horticulture, farming and animal sciences. Check out this fun activity with your kids! 

13th Annual Southwest FunnyFest
