All youth who visit receive a free original SOMOS screen print.

7th Annual Albuquerque Film & Music Experience

The theme of this year's AFME is ROAD FLIQX, highlighting the cinematic and musical expression of the “Open Road”, a metaphor for the search of the enduring spirit of freedom.  The cornerstone of ROAD FLIQX is the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Easy Rider, arguably the most recognized and emblematic road flick of all time.  Also featuring a heart-revving lineup of other open road movies and their soundtracks, featuring actors, directors, writers, musicians and others that helped make those films come alive.

Albuquerque Ukelele Festival

Music of the Fab Four (yes, the Beatles) sung and taught by Beat-lele and Brook Adams.  The Ukekopelli Festival this year will be our best ever! The concert should be sold out with Brook Adams singing and playing the entire Abbey Road album. The Hawaiian band Beat-lele will headline the show, performing all the great Beatle songs from the days when the Beatles occupied the top five hits on the billboard charts every week.  Because of the anticipated sell out concert and festival, we must limit the number of concert tickets to 300 and the number of weekend passes to 100. We want everyone to have fun, be comfortable and enjoy the concert and workshops. When we limit the number of attendees, everyone can be comfortable. Get your tickets early!  Lunch will be catered by Kimo’s Hawaiian BBQ. It will be served in the lobby of the Arts Center. Workshop passes are available with or without a lunch option.
