Ghosts of Painted Ladies: Magic & Mystery Show
History combines with magic to offer a unique look at a colorful part of Albuquerque's forgotten past. Built in 1881 as a brothel and saloon with "wine room in connection," the property has quite the spirited past. Tales of buried money, hidden rooms, and Billy the Kid are all waiting inside. Many a knife fight and shootout are just some of the echoes of its sordid past. The evening will expose the disreputable history of the property, including true ghost stories told by the owner combined with ghostly magic performed by the ghost of Milton J. Yarberry. Yarberry takes the stage with a hilarious personality that captures the imagination of each audience member, taking them back to a time when characters of the Wild West ruled the land. Based on the life of an actual historical figure, the performance is a "living history" lesson sure to delight any audience. The Painted Lady Bed & Brew is featured in Haunted Hotels & Ghostly Getaways of New Mexico. A General Admission ticket that includes a signed copy of the book is available for purchase.
