  • 35th Annual Big 5 Duke City Marathon

The 35th Annual Duke City Marathon is the New Mexico's longest running and premier fitness event! It features seven races (Marathon, Marathon Relay, Half Marathon, 10K Run, 10K Walk, 5K Run and 5K Walk) and is open to all ages. The course begins and ends in downtown Albuquerque, and also includes a FREE Health Expo on October 21.

  • Performance: Wicked

Three-time Tony award-winning musical, Wicked, is coming to Popejoy! Wicked, the Broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz...but from a different angle. Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another young woman, born with emerald-green skin-smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent.   • ARTECHOUSE: XYZT Abstract Landscapes

Step into an imaginary territory of lines, dots, and letters, and immerse into a virtual playground of four dimensions: X (horizontal), Y (vertical), Z (depth), and T (time). XYZT: Abstract Landscapes is a world-traveled installation by internationally acclaimed French contemporary digital artists and multimedia choreographers Adrien M & Claire B. The interactive show offers an exploratory physical experience through ten digital landscapes.

  • Yank N Yard Bouldering Youth Local Competition

The Yank-N-Yard is not just a competition; it is an annual gathering of the Southwest’s climbing community. Each year we strive to grow and provide a spectacular event while strengthening our local and national communities.

  • Wolf Awareness Days

Visit the Mexican Grey Wolf exhibit at the ABQ BioPark Zoo to learn about wolf conservation and re-introduction in the Southwest. Over the years, the zoo has successfully bred wolves that have been released into the wild. Find out the crucial role these animals used to play in New Mexico's ecosystem and get hands-on with wolf biofacts. Learn about Aldo Leopold, a conservation hero active here in New Mexico from 1900-1928, and find out why he said, "Only the mountain has lived long enough to listen objectively to the howl of a wolf." Visitors who want to learn more about the BioPark’s wolf pack can speak to zookeepers during scheduled talks. Visitors also will have the opportunity to see wolf pelts, study bones and explore the adaptations that make wolves agile, expert hunters.
