Public Opening: Visions of the Hispanic World Exhibit (Part 2)

The second part of a spectacular exhibit at the Albuquerque Museum will be opening this weekend. This new installation brings modern artwork from artists like Francisco Goya, John Singer Sargent and Joaquin Sorolla - among others. On Saturday, a celebration of the new additions will be held, with a brief explanation of the pieces by the Albuquerque Museum Director and performances by renowned vocalist Vicente Griego, one of the most respected Flamenco artists of our time.

5th Annual Humble Holiday Market

Entering the 5th year anniversary of their holiday market, Humble Coffee received over 150 vendor applications and they are excited to add more vendor booths than ever before! Perfect for last minute gift shopping; stroll through a marketplace of artists, makers and food trucks with your favorite Humble brew in hand. Talented musicians from the Rock 101 Academy will be filling the air with holiday cheer.

Trolley of Lights

Tis’ the season for Christmas trees, luminarias, nutcrackers, egg nog and holiday lights! We may not have enough snow for a ride in an open sleigh, but hop on the ABQ Trolley for the next best thing! This special holiday edition of the Trolley Tour will highlight Old Town Plaza’s Christmas tree and decorations, Rio Grande Boulevard and the Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Be sure to bundle up: coats, hats, gloves, and even blankets are recommended.

The New Mexico Philharmonic Presents: Holiday Pops

Celebrate the season with timeless favorites at a festive concert. Students of the fine arts from Rio Rancho High School, Manzano Day School and the Albuquerque Youth Symphony will join the New Mexico Philharmonic for a magical evening featuring classic holiday tunes, and new selections. Join in the cheer with the traditional holiday sing-along that is sure to bring smiles to all.

Stories by the Fireside

Experience the age-old tradition of hearing stories while gathered in a cozy circle around the fire.  Stop by Pueblo Harvest for a steaming cup of hot chocolate, and then head out to the courtyard where a storyteller will weave a different Pueblo tale each night. After, children will be guided in an art activity that relates to the story of the evening.

Concert: Blind Boys of Alabama Christmas Show

A five time Grammy Award Winning gospel group will be performing in the Duke City tonight! The Blind Boys of Alabama boast an impressive 70-year career filled with recording music and touring the world. This particular tour celebrates the release of their latest album: “Talkin’ Christmas!” – with songs from this new album being featured in their show.

Performance: Elf the Musical

Based on the beloved holiday film, this hilarious fish-out-of water comedy follows Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his true identity. Brought to the stage, this musical version features songs written and composed by Tony Award nominees. A modern holiday classic that is sure to make everyone embrace their inner Elf. After all, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!
