2018 New Mexico Bowl

It’s the most wonderful time of the year for football fans. New Mexico Bowl is kicking off their 13th annual game on Saturday – the first official day of college football’s bowl season. A unique game, which features a match-up between a team in the Mountain West Conference and a Conference USA team.  Last week, it was announced the Utah State Aggies and the North Texas Mean Green had accepted their invitations to play in the Duke City.

5th Annual Rail Yards Holiday Market

Keep it local for the holidays with nearly 200 local vendors showcasing made-from-scratch delicious food and handmade crafts. Sample New Mexico’s finest cuisine, peruse all the local gifts, create some fun in the Children’s Zone, participate in the infamous ornament exchange, and give back to the community at the Donation Station. This year there will be free parking at Gold & 2nd street, with a complimentary shuttle to the event.

3rd Annual Santa Claus Pub Crawl

Santa Claus is coming to town, and he’s making a stop at the local breweries! Don your best holiday garb and hop on the trolley for a jolly tour of eight downtown tap rooms.  The trolley will make 30-45 minute stops at each brewery, and festive tour goers will receive discounts on their pints. Red Door Brewing Company, Marble Brewery, and Boese Brothers Brewery are among the participating locations.

A View into the Collection at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center

Enjoy an exclusive look into the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center’s vault, and see works of art and historical artifacts that are rarely seen by the public. A view into the collection is only offered four times a year, and is led by the Collections Specialist who will share stories about the items’ history and significance. Space is limited, and reservations are required.

Performance: 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Revue

Join Duke City Repertory Theatre for a little bit of nice and a little bit of naughty at their 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Revue. This adults-only variety show promises the jolliest and most hilarious acts that local Albuquerque performers have to offer – AKA the perfect ‘spike in your December eggnog.’ Red Door Brewing Company will be on site, serving up their brews and filling your cup with cheer! Of course, don’t forget to rock your ugly Christmas sweater.

Performance: Finding Neverland

A twist on an old classic, Finding Neverland tells the tale of J.M. Barrie, a playwright struggling to find inspiration. That is, until he meets four young brothers and their beautiful widowed mother. Immediately spellbound by the boy’s enchanting make-believe adventures, he sets out to write a play that will astound London theatregoers.

Merry Maker market and Craft Workshop

Shop for gifts from local makers and learn how to create your own. Workshops in the creation of punched copper jewelry, screen-printed holiday bags, laser cut trees and paper circuit holiday cards will be available. This amazing event is free, with the donation of a non-perishable food item to benefit The Storehouse.
