Great news for Albuquerqueans looking to head to Seattle, and Seattleites looking for a trip to the great Southwest. Alaska Airlines announced today that they will begin daily nonstop service between the two destinations starting on September 18, 2014.
If you act fast, you just might snag a ticket between the two cities for $99 (each way), the introductory rate the airline is offering for tickets purchased by April 3, 2014. The deal is highlighted on the Alaskan Airlines website: www.AlaskaAir.com.
"We're delighted to add Albuquerque to our unsurpassed route network from Seattle," said Joe Sprague, vice president of marketing for Alaska Airlines. "The city's rich culture and plethora of outdoor activities - not to mention those famously sunny skies - make it a natural fit."
Fun fact: While the airline has Alaskan roots symbolized by the Eskimo painted on its aircraft tails, the company is actually headquartered in Seattle, WA. No matter where it's headquartered, getting to and from the Northwest just got a little easier.
