Wisdom from the Origins Conference

Are you ready for the changes of 2012 and beyond? This September 13th-17th, at the Marriott Pyramid in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the conference of the year is coming. This timely conference is called: Wisdom from the Origins: The Mayan Calendar and Other Prophecies on the Future of Humanity and it brings together Indigenous elders, social visionaries, ecologists, philosophers, healers, and experts on the Mayan calendar -- more than 30 in all -- to one place. Barbara Marx Hubbard, Marianne Williamson, Gregg Braden, James O’Dea, Kenny Ausubel, Nina Simons, Robert Sitler, and Kenneth Johnson are joined by Grandmother Flordemayo and 5 other members of The Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, as well as the Head of the Mayan Council of Elders, Don Alejandro; Mayan daykeepers Tata Pedro and Don Gaspar XIU; Hopi elders Vernon Masayesva and Jerry Honawa; revered Maori Tohuna wisdom keeper Rose Pere, Ohki Simine Forest, Leroy Little Bear; Sequoyah Trueblood; Ac Tah, and many others. All are in service of helping the people give birth to a new consciousness in this pivotal year. Cost of the conference is $450 through July 13 ($525 thereafter). Discounts are available for seniors and Students/Youth under 25. For more information and to register, see or call the SEED Institute in Albuquerque: 505-792-2900.

How can the Mayan calendar and other prophecies help humankind at this time? The Mayan calendars have been a creative and effective vehicle for contemplating the larger cycles of time, but there has also been a lot of misunderstanding, uncertainty, and even panic around the Mayan calendar. Wisdom from the Origins offers an unprecedented opportunity to learn from the elders themselves and to participate in group dialogue, storytelling, and ceremonies that promote balance, harmony, and healing.

This is a profoundly co-creative moment, a time when people of all traditions and races are being called to come together to explore and re-discover what it means to be human, and to re-orient to this new cycle. Now is a time for preparation, for clearing away that which no longer serves, and for inviting in different ways of thinking, being, and acting. This conference provides a great service by helping those who attend to clear, prepare, and be of service to others. Join in circle as we co-create a better future together.

With opening ceremonies at Chaco Canyon and a special performance by the renowned Dancing Earth Indigenous Dance troupe, this is THE conference of 2012 that promises to be relevant for a very long time into the future. or 505-792-2900.
