The “Un-Road Trip” passes through Albuquerque

Creative TV/video producer exploring the country without a car
Albuquerque, NM – Boaz Frankel is making the “Un-Road Trip” across the country for 10 weeks and stopping in Albuquerque on Wednesday, April 29th. The goal of the trip is to criss-cross the country using every possible mode of transportation except a car and document the journey. The alternative modes of transportation may include traveling by foot, bike, train, dog sled, biplane, kayak, moped, horseback, and many more yet to be determined.

While in Albuquerque for 24 hours, Frankel will add a camel ride to his list at the Rio Grande Zoo on Wednesday, April 29th at 2pm.

“I'll certainly achieve a "greener" trip by avoiding the favored mode of transportation, (and hopefully discover some interesting alternative modes of transit), but I also think it will thrust me into unique situations and introduce me to people and places that the standard road-tripper would simply drive past,” Frankel said.

Through www.unroadtrip.com, people are able to follow the trip in real-time and interact with the journey; suggesting modes of transportation or offering a couch to sleep on.

“Albuquerque is a recognized leader in environmentally friendly practices and proud to be selected as a stop on Frankel’s Un-Road Trip. We look forward to word spreading of Albuquerque’s green efforts due to his programs,” said Dale Lockett, Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau president/CEO.

Frankel will be available for interviews at the Rio Grande Zoo at 2pm on Wednesday. Please contact him directly with any questions or visit www.unroadtrip.com for details.
