The Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau announces new staff

The Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) recently added new staff members to the destination marketing team.
Barbara Marcus, Human Resources
Barbara Marcus joins ACVB as the new Human Resources Manager. She has over 20 years in the field of Human Resources, coming to us most recently from New Mexico Mutual where she was the Human Resources Manager there as well. She also holds the professional certification of Senior Professional in Human Resources. At ACVB Barbara will do various functions within the area of Human Resources including recruiting, selection and hiring, employee relations and much more. Barbara and her family have lived in Albuquerque for 14 years. “I am happy to be here, and I am happy to have joined such a dynamic organization,” Barbara said.

Michelle Mirabal, Convention Sales Assistant
ACVB welcomes Michelle Mirabal as the new Sales Assistant supporting national sales managers in the Convention Sales department.  Prior to joining ACVB, Michelle worked at Lovelace Healthplan in membership services.  As an Albuquerque native, Michelle has a definite fondness for her hometown and hopes that in her time with ACVB she can help future travelers discover the beauty that she sees in Albuquerque. 
Michelle has previously worked as a real estate broker and is also part owner of “All About You,” an event planning business.

Kelley Bedford, Receptionist
ACVB welcomes a new receptionist, Kelley Bedford. Currently, Kelley is a student at CNM working towards her Associates degree of Applied Science in office administration. Kelley comes to us most recently from Sandia National Laboratories where she was a clerical student intern there for two years.
