ALBUQUERQUE, NM -- The Indian Arts and Crafts Association (IACA) – the World’s Leading American Indian Art Alliance – has joined forces with Heritage Hotels and Resorts to present the first ever Native Heritage Art Market. This special show features handmade art by many of the top American Indian artists. The show is open to the public free of charge and will be held at the beautiful Hotel Albuquerque near the historic Old Town Plaza on Thanksgiving weekend: Friday, November 25 3:00-7:00pm, Saturday, November 26th 10:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday, November 27, 2011 10:00am to 2:00pm.

This premiere event will showcase the work of IACA’s current and past Artist of the Year winners. The market will also feature artist demonstrations, cultural performances, collector workshops and special youth activities. The public will have an opportunity to purchase stunning jewelry, pottery, paintings, sculpture, carvings and more directly from these artists, as well as from other top Native artists, and to gain an appreciation for IACA and its artistic heritage.

All work sold at IACA markets is made by American Indian artists who are enrolled in state or federally recognized Tribes or certified as an Indian artisan by an Indian Tribe. IACA was established in 1974 to support the effective protection, ethical promotion and preservation of authentic American Indian art and culture. IACA works to stop fraud and abuse through education, marketing and the use of the IACA symbol — a sign of authenticity, quality and integrity.
