ALBUQUERQUE – Mayor Martin J. Chávez and ABQ RIDE Director, Greg Payne, announced today that ticket sales for the 2008 Luminaria Tour are headed for another sell out. Only about 2,055 tickets remain after the first weekend of sales.
“The response to the Luminaria Tour grows as more and more people make it part of their Christmas Eve tradition”, said Mayor Martin J. Chávez.
The Luminaria Tour will once again depart from the UNM Pit basketball stadium located at the southwest corner of Avenida Cesar Chavez and University Boulevard.  Free parking will be available at the parking lot for the University Arena.
People can purchase the tickets online at www.cabq.gov/abqride, by calling 311 or in person by going to the Alvarado Transportation Center at First Street and Central. “We want as many people as possible to enjoy the tour so we encourage everyone to purchase their tickets early”, said Greg Payne.
